Getting Around

Our convenient location near downtown Macon, combined with a diverse array of transportation options makes it easy for guests and attendees to access our convention center, whether they are driving down to Macon, or taking the shuttle from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Here are all the transportation details you need to know

  • Taxicabs are available on an as‐needed basis. Please inform the front desk when a taxicab is needed, and he/she will arrange for pick up in the front of the hotel.
  • Hotel and airport shuttle van services must pick‐up/drop‐off in the designated area outside the Hotel Entrance. Staging vehicles in this area is prohibited.

All other bus services must pick‐up/drop‐off at the Hotel or Rotunda Entrance of the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center and follow the below guidelines:

  • Parking shuttle buses or other vehicles on sidewalks or grassed areas is strictly forbidden.
  • Staging buses, taxis, vans, trucks, limousines or other vehicles is prohibited. Bibb County Police and regulate roads and curb lines in the area surrounding the facility and monitor restricted vehicle activity.
  • Signage for shuttle bus stops may be temporarily installed for events with advance approval from the Center.
  • For all shuttle bus services, a supervisor is required during all hours of operation at the termination area. Any service using five (5) or more vehicles should have a minimum of one (1) security officer to assist in all vehicular and pedestrian traffic control on the public streets.
  • A written plan of operation with shuttle times, dates, number of buses and incorporating all the above items must be submitted to the event coordinator at least thirty (30) days in advance for approval.
