Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center has established relationships for services commonly used in our facility. These vendors have a working knowledge of the facility, staff and guidelines. These vendors include contract security, coat/luggage check, transportation, floral/décor, and audiovisual. Please contact the event coordinator for a complete list of preferred service providers.
Service animals are permitted at Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center. The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to aid an individual with a disability. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other guests and employees may be asked to escort the animal off the premises.
In the event of an emergency such as a fire, bomb threat, inclement weather, medical emergency or criminal activity, notify the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center public safety and the event coordinator immediately. All calls to outside law enforcement and medical response units shall be communicated to CGC public safety in accordance with the Center’s emergency operating procedures. Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center is the exclusive provider of food and beverage services; however, exposition sponsoring organizations and/or their exhibitors may distribute sample size food (bite size) and/or non‐alcoholic beverage products (4 oz. container) with written authorization by the Center. Additionally, temporary food service permits must be obtained from the Georgia Public Health Department 30 days in advance of the event.
Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center is the exclusive provider of food and beverage services. State law prohibits alcoholic beverages from being brought into the convention center. The Center will refuse alcoholic beverages to all persons unable to offer proper identification confirming that they are at least twenty‐one (21) years of age, or persons who, in the Center’s food and beverage staff’s sole judgment, appear to be intoxicated.
Food and beverage services for events are provided exclusively by the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center. However, food trucks are allowed outside the convention center with prior approval.
Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center has three points of entry. Exhibitors must use the back-loading dock via Coliseum Court to the loading area. Meeting room/ballroom clients may utilize the doors in the rotunda for the move in and out of small amounts of materials/exhibits. Materials may be transported through the rotunda entrance or east entrance by hand or rolled luggage/carrier with no more than two wheels.
Staff is available for a fee Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm to assist with the shipping and receiving of documents or packages. Meeting and ballroom freight/packages will be accepted no earlier than 72 hours (3 business days) prior to the scheduled event and will be returned to sender C.O.D if received earlier. Please complete the Shipping & Receiving Notification Form and attach it to the package.
Ordering power, telephone, compressed air, and other services is easy with our Online Ordering option. You can order services anytime, although discounts are offered for orders placed more than 14 days in advance.
Exposition sponsoring organizations and/or their exhibitors may distribute sample size food (bite size) and/or non-alcoholic beverage products (4 oz. container) with written authorization by the Center. The Georgia Department of Public Health requires that any exhibitor who will be sampling food and beverage on the show floor obtain a temporary food service license.

Ample handicapped parking is available directly in front of the main entrance. If the spaces are full, additional handicapped parking can be found outside the east entrance. Please see our campus map for the exact locations. guests and attendees that need it can be dropped off in the rotunda area of the main entrance and an elevator ride to the second floor will take them to the event spaces. To maximize ease of access, all of Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center’s event space is located on one level.
